Welcome to Yarra Valley Railway

Join us for a trip on the historic Walker RM22 Railmotor from Healesville to Tunnel Hill, crossing the Watts River, under the Donovan's Road overbridge and through the historic tunnel at Tarrawarra Winery. Relax and take in the spectacular sights and sounds of the beautiful Yarra Valley.

In the event that the train is unavailable, trolley rides will replace train rides.

The Yarra Valley Railway is a non-profit organisation dependent on the work and contributions of dedicated volunteer members to succeed.

BREAKING NEWS: $3.5 Million Regional Development Australia Grant For The Yarra Valley Railway

In June 2013 the Railway received a $3.5m Regional Development Australia (RDA) Funding Grant. This grant will play a highly significant role in reinstating the line between Healesville and Yarra Glen. The primary focus of this grant will be to assist in rebuilding the line between the current running section and Yarra Glen.We would like to thank the Federal Government and RDA for granting our funding application, as well as the Victorian State Government and the Yarra Ranges Council for all of their support. A special thank you goes to the Mayor Jim Child, YRC Councillors and Officers for their support and assistance throughout this process. The railway must also thank the community of the Yarra Valley for their ongoing support along with all the local community groups and businesses.
